Lokendra Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bijnor's Noorpur, died in a road accident when his SUV vehicle collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh' Sitapur district. The 41-year-old was counted as one of the dynamic young faces from BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
Two of his gunners and the driver of the truck also died in the accident. The driver of the Fortuner he was travelling in was saved due to the airbag.

Lokendra Singh was a first time MLA and became a member of the 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh.
Lokendra Singh was born in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Lokendra Singh was active in social and public life before being elected as MLA. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
