New Delhi, Aug 6: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA on Monday called Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Amanatullah Khan 'terrorist' during a debate inside the Delhi Assembly. BJP MLA OP Sharma addressed Amanatullah Khan and asked him to not talk like terrorists, drawing sharp reactions from other AAP MLAs including chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

"Don't talk like terrorists," Sharma said and kept repeating the controversial line. He also called Khan a 'goonda'. Follwoing the controversial remark, AAP MLAs stood up from their seats and objected to the language of Sharma. Delhi Assembly speaker Ram Niwas Goel ordered removal of the word terrorist' from the recording of the House. CM Kejriwal shared the video of the incident and said the BJP wants to divide people on religious line.

Manish Sisodia said the BJP wants to potray all Muslims as terrorists. "We won't tolerate this. He should apologise to the entire country," Sisodia said in the Assembly. Amanatullah Khan represents Okhla Assembly constituency that has a large Muslim pocket.
