According to recent reports, BJP worker Zubair Ahmad Parray was shot at by terrorists in Srinagar. The worker was intercepted by terrorists near his home and was fired upon. As per a report on Rising Kashmir, the gunmen shot him from point-blank range at his crockery shop in Allochibagh. Parray had infact left police training mid-way some years back and never joined again.

Parray was associated with BJP and had participated in the election campaign in 2014 assembly polls. Hunt is on to nab the assailants.

Similar incident happened, when PDP Leader, Ghulam Nabi Patel, succumbed to his injuries last week, after being shot at by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Patel was fired upon by the terrorists in Rajpora while he was coming to Pulwama from Yader.

Last year in April, militants shot dead the People’s Democratic Party district president for Pulwama, Abdul Gani Dar, in the South Kashmir district, police said.
