Biriyani to be Cheaper in Telangana, Thanks to Upcoming Assembly Elections! EC Officer Proposes to Cut Poll Expenses

Telangana, November 2: Telangana chief electoral officer Rajat Kumar has proposed to the political parties that the price of biriyani, would be reduced. According to a Hindustan Times report, the price reduction is not for hotels, and restaurants, but for those, who spend huge money in getting biriyani, which is distributed to the workers during the election time. The cost of mutton biriyani would be reduced from Rs 170 to Rs 140, that of chicken biriyani will be reduced from Rs 140 to Rs 120 per plate. Some of the other dishes, proposing to reduce the price are- Idli, Vada, tea, and coffee. The cost of a vegetarian meal will, however, go up.
