Mumbai, October 4: Singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo has alleged that West Bengal police has threatened singer Shaan, saying they will cancel the license to his upcoming show if Supriyo attends it. In a tweet, Union Minister Supriyo said that 'Shaan called him up and said that police officers woke him up from sleep and threatened to cancel license to the show if I go to watch it! Infuriated'. Reportedly, another officer had called him and warned Supriyo, that if he goes to the concert, it will be at his own risk, and they will withdraw all the forces.

In another tweet, Supriyo said that he doesn't want either Mamata or her police to spoil the show because both KK and Shaan are very good friends. He said that he won't be going to the show.

In another tweet, Supriyo said that other TMC netas are attending the show, but he being the Asansol MP and Central Minister gets stopped.

Babul Supriyo stoked a controversy recently, while speaking at an event for the differently-abled people at Asansol, his parliamentary constituency. Irked by a man who was moving to and fro in the hall while he was delivering a speech, Supriyo lost his cool and said he would break his leg.

In the video shared by news agency ANI, Supriyo could be heard saying, "What is your problem? I can break your one leg and then give you a clutch. Now go and stand in the corner."
