Atal Bihari Vajpayee Health Update: As Former PM Remains Critical, School Children Pray for His Life

New Delhi, August 16: The health of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has deteriorated in the last 24 hours, and according to the latest medical bulletin issued by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), his condition is still critical and he continues to be on life support. Politicians across party, his followers, fans have rushed to the hospital to meet Vajpayee. They are all praying for his speedy recovery. According to an ANI report, prayers are underway for the ailing former PM in ND Convent Public School in Lucknow.

Earlier in the day, a special hawan was performed in Gwalior, the birthplace of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, for a speedy recovery of the ailing former prime minister. The 1924-born leader is under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, a pulmonologist and currently the Director of AIIMS. Guleria has served as personal physician to Vajpayee for over three decades.
