Another Greater Noida Gang-Rape Horror: Woman Books Cab, Forced to Consume Alcohol & Raped in Jarcha Forest Area

Noida, April 27: Another shameful incident comes from Greater Noida, where a woman who had booked a cab, was allegedly raped. According to a report on ANI, she was forced to consume alcohol in the cab, before being taken to a forest area near Jarcha. More than 6 people have been detained by the police in connection with the case. The woman has been sent for medical test.
Just two days back, a similar incident was reported, where a 16-year-old girl, while returning from school was allegedly gang-raped last week by a classmate, a distant relative and another youth who had offered her a lift home as she had missed the bus.
More details on the same are awaited. The news comes on the back of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act being amended which states death penalty for rapists of minor girls below 12 years of age.
A shameful incident of gang-rape also came to the front few days back, where a father in his fifties has allegedly gifted his 35-year old daughter to his friends and later joined them to gang-rape her. Reportedly, the incident happened in Sitapur district, about 70 km away from Lucknow.
