Bareilly, April 23: In another shocking rape case from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, an eight-year old minor was raped by a 14-year-old boy in CB Ganj's Sarania village. According to a report on ANI, the accused has been arrested and police is at the spot to further probe into the matter. The news comes on the back of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act which states death penalty for rapists of minor girls below 12 years of age.
A similar incident happened few days back, when a 45-year-old man was held for raping a mentally challenged girl, aged 9, on last Thursday evening. According to police, the survivor’s family was busy as her elder sister’s wedding had to take place on Friday and when the girl went to play at the house of her neighbour, he raped her.

According to a Times of India report, the family of the victim found her profusely bleeding from her private parts and she complained of pain. As she is mentally ill, she was not able to tell others, what had happened, so her family in order to alleviate her pain, tried some home remedies. However, on being taken to the hospital, it was found that she was raped. Police complaint against the accused was filed post her medical check-up.
