Air India's AI 983 Dubai Bound Flight Faces Technical Glitch: 150 Passengers Were Stranded in Mumbai Airport For 10 Hours

Mumbai, August 3: More than 150 passengers were left stranded at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for almost 10 hours after their Dubai Bound Air India flight didn't take off due to technical glitches. According to an ANI report, the AI 983 flight was scheduled to take off at 8 pm on Thursday, but it couldn't as a result of which, the passengers had a harrowing experience. A passenger as quoted in the report said, "Staff is unprofessional,they are not telling us how long we'll be here. They are telling us to take the refund, and go."
Reportedly, few passengers got embroiled in an argument with the staff because of their non-cooperation, and inability to pacify the situation. Another passenger who has been quoted in a India TV news report said, "We have been waiting at the airport since a long time. There is a three months old baby among other kids, who are travelling. However, there is nobody here to give us an answer as to when the flight will take off. Even they gave us bad food to eat. Much later, another alternative flight was arranged for the passengers, and they were sent to Dubai. Recently the airline faced flak as news of bed bugs found in the business class of Air India came out. In a shocking incident, an infant was found covered in bites and bleeding in the premium Newark-Mumbai 17 hour flight.
