Madhya Pradesh, September 4: In a shocking incident, a shoe was hurled at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a public meeting. According to a Times of India report, the shoe was thrown at him, while the CM was addressing the meeting. A day back, black flags were shown to Chouhan and stones were hurled at his vehicle in Sidhi during Jan Ashirwad Yatra. Chouhan is touring the state ahead of Assembly polls and the CM escaped unhurt in the incident. Reportedly, the incident took place in the area which is the assembly constituency of the leader of Opposition Ajay Singh. Chouhan later dared Singh to come out in the open and fight with him.

According to the report, Chouhan was quoted as saying, "Ajay Singh, if you have strength come in open and fight with me. I am physically weak, but I won't be bogged down by your deeds. People of the state are with me." Singh however, denied the allegation and said that "no-Congressman was involved in the stone-pelting incident and that his party doesn't follow the culture of violence. I suspect that it was a well thought and hatched conspiracy aimed at defaming me and people of Churhat."
