Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif claim that all is well between the two. In fact, when on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 6 recently the actress was asked about her equation with Alia. We got some non-committal and uncomfortable responses from Katrina, who seemed uninterested in talking about her ex-lover Ranbir Kapoor’s current ladylove. Katrina was cool as a cucumber as she discussed Alia-Ranbir’s love affair. However, the friends no longer share the same warm bond. Now we bet that many of you would argue that the beauties hugged it out at Shah Rukh Khan’s star-studded Diwali bash. But hey, here’s what really unfolded between Alia and Katrina before and after the picture.

Alia and Katrina’s hug was aloof, awkward and cold to say the least. The two ladies were once besties working out together in the gym and bonding like sisters. However, looks like Ranbir Kapoor’s entry into their equation has ruined things between the former friends. Buzz also suggested that Katrina and Alia were working with the same trainer and the senior actress ensured that it did not continue. Apparently, Katrina pulled strings and ensured that the trainer picked sides and of course managed to have the lady on her side. Also, while Alia continues to like Katrina’s posts on social media, the latter is making her feelings for Alia obvious by ignoring these friendly gestures.

And so, at SRK’s Diwali bash, the actresses were expecting to come face-to-face. Those attending the do were expecting some fireworks. However, the ladies decided to keep it formal and steer clear of any awkward discussions. As per an online report, Alia and Katrina briefly hugged then mingled with a group nearby and indulged in generic conversations.

Like Alia, Ranbir too met Sidharth Malhotra at this party. And on lookers say that there was no exchange of pleasantries. The two men managed to ignore each other and blended with the boys – Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. We bet that Sidharth must have felt slightly left out especially since all the other three heroes are pretty close to RK Jr.

Unfortunately, for those who were hoping to see some fireworks between the ex-lovers’ encounters, they went home disappointed for sure.
