During India Today Conclave Mumbai 2022, Varun Dhawan opened up about his battle with Vestibular Hypofunction, a health condition that causes balance disorder. He was quoted as saying, “Recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off.”

Fatima Sana Shaikh

The Dangal fame actress is suffering from one of the most common neurological diseases, Epilepsy. While interacting with fans on Insta during Epilepsy Awareness month she had revealed about her health condition, which she was diagnosed with while training for Dangal. She mentioned, “I got an episode and woke up straight at the hospital... (I) was in denial at first (for five years). And now, I have learnt to embrace it, and work and live around it.”

Celine Dion had announced that she’s postponing her tour to 2024 as she has been diagnosed with a rare medical condition called Stiff Person Syndrome. About it, she mentioned in her Insta post, “The spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

Justin Bieber was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which is a rare neurological condition. Prioritising his health, the 28-year-old singer cancelled his Justice World Tour dates. He had posted a video post on Instagram and shared with his fans saying, “Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and it is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.”

In November, Roberta Flack’s rep announced that the singer has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis aka ALS. Her health condition reportedly made singing and speaking difficult for her which is why she retired from singing.
