If all would go well, then Sanjay Leela Bhansali would finally make Deepika Padukone’s dream of working with Salman Khan come true. It seems that the Padmaavat helmer has managed to get a go-ahead from not just Salman, but also Shah Rukh Khan for his next film. A project, which is on the lines of yesteryear actors Dilip Kumar and Rajkumar’s Saudagar. Salman and SRK will obviously play the warring friends in the movie. Buzz was that Sanjay had plans of roping in his muse Deepika for the role, but the Dabangg has now come up with other suggestion.

A recent online report revealed that Salman is recommending his Sultan co-star Anushka Sharma to Bhansali, who is keen on taking Deepika on board. For the uninitiated, Deepika has rejected several offers from Salman Khan in the past. The Bajirao Mastani got her first Bollywood film offer from Salman and not SRK. However, the actress chose to debut opposite Shah Rukh in Om Shanti Om. Deepika has never denied that she’s eagerly awaiting an opportunity to share screen space with Salman, however the actress had also refused to work in Jai Ho, do a song in Kick. It was also reported that before Sonam Kapoor, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was offered to Deepika Padukone. Kabir Khan had apparently promised to give Ms Padukone a meaty role in Tubelight and YRF had considered the actress for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan before Anushka was roped in.

Apart from this history, Deepika and Salman have another factor that has stopped them from working together and that is Katrina Kaif. Both these heroines share icy cold vibes thanks to a certain Ranbir Kapoor. And in Deepika-Katrina’s this battle Salman of course sided with his ex-lover. It seems SK was extremely upset when Deepika insisted on seeing Kat’s passport during a chat show. And while recent reports suggested that all was well between the ladies and Salman had even offered Deepika a part in Tiger Zinda Hai’s next franchise movie looks like Khan is no mood to forgive or forget, yet.

If Anushka does give her nod, then the actress will not just oust Deepika from the film, but will also collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time. It was widely reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand L Rai, who were originally considering Deepika for Zero approached Katrina Kaif for the role on Anushka Sharma’s insistence. Rai felt that the camaraderie between his actors mattered and hence dropped Deepika from the movie and picked the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress instead.
