Janhvi Kapoor has often talked about her special bond with mother Sridevi. The Dhadak actress was shattered after she lost her mom in February last year. Sridevi's death came as a shocker to many as the actress was in the public eye. It was an unfortunate accident that caused drowning in a bathtub, however early reports suggested that the actress had passed away following a cardiac arrest while in her hotel room. The months that followed were tough for Janhvi and her family, who were grappling with the loss of a loved one. Janhvi immersed herself in work and often got emotional while discussing about her mom during interviews and events.
Today, looks like Janhvi fondly remembers her mother and can talk about the lighter aspects of her relationship with Sridevi. In a recent interview to a magazine, Janhvi opened up about how her parents have been super protective about her and also pretty typical. During a chat, Janhvi revealed, "Mom and dad were very dramatic about it ( her love life). They would say ‘When you like a guy, come to us and we’ll get you married.’"
The young actress went to to say, "And I’m like what!? You know we don’t have to get married to every guy we like. Like we can be chill also." Apparently, Sridevi could never understand this and would react by saying, "Like chill, what does chill mean?" We bet many of us could relate to what Janhvi is saying and Indian teenagers might just be nodding in agreement after seeing this statement of the Dhadak actress.

Reports suggest that Janhvi and her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter are dating. In fact, when the actress marked her debut on mentor Karan Johar's chat show Janhvi was all coy about it. Even her step-brother Arjun Kapoor teased the actress and added fuel to rumours of her alleged affair with Shahid Kapoor's younger brother. While Janhvi often makes it Ishaan's Instagram stories and posts, the actress is extremely guarded and not willing to open up about anything as yet.
