Vicky has reached that stage in his career where he wants to do a full-fledged romantic film. His filmography so far doesn't include a full-fledged romantic film.

Vicky is open to do a romantic film

Vicky Kaushal has managed to impress a huge set of people with his filmography so far. The actor has given some brilliant performances in films like Sanju, Masaan, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Manmarziyaan among others. None of these films belongs to the genre of romance though. The closet Vicky has come to doing a love story was in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, in which Vicky and Alia Bhatt ended up impressing both critics and masses alike with their chemistry.

Now, Vicky has reached that stage in his career where he wants to do a full-fledged romantic film. “I would love to do a romantic film and whenever I get an opportunity I will do it. Every film has a romantic angle, but at what intensity I can’t reveal now. But I would like to do it,” he told to Deccan Chronicle. Well, we are sure he will be good in a romantic film. So all those directors who have written a love story and are unable to find a leading hero, well, Vicky is open to the idea. Vicky Kaushal's Sam Manekshaw Biopic to Go on Floors in 2021

Vicky's last film was Uri: The Surgical Strike, which became the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2017. This one will always be one of the highlights of Vicky’s brilliant resume so far. The film was loved by a huge set of people, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who used the insanely viral punchline, “How’s the josh?” from the film in one of his speeches. No wonder then the film ended up making Rs. 245.36 crore at the domestic box office. It was re-released recently on July 26 in the state of Maharashtra, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

As for Vicky's upcoming films, the actor has quite an interesting line-up. He will be seen in Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh and Meghna Gulzar’s film about Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
