Varun Dhawan Injures His Knee On The Sets Of Street Dancer 3D
While practicing some dance moves for the climax of Street Dancer 3D, Varun injured his knee. Reportedly, he did that while practicing some bhangra moves.
In an unfortunate turn of events, Varun Dhawan has injured his knee while rehearsing the climax scene of his upcoming film, Street Dancer 3D, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite him. The cast and the crew are filming the final sequences of the Remo D'souza directorial in Andheri, Mumbai. It is while they were practicing for a particular scene when Varun injured his knee. “He’s been learning some really tough Bhangra moves along with other dance forms like Urban and Street hip-hop. On Tuesday, while rehearsing with Rahul Shetty, Dharmesh and Tashan from UK, he twisted his knee. But Varun being the professional that he is, refused to take a break. He simply had his left knee taped to support the muscles and carried on," a source revealed to Mumbai Mirror. The source further added, “It’s like a mock rehearsal of what they will be performing on camera."
A few days back it was reported that Street Dancer 3D's climax will have 10 teams of dancer from different parts of the world. The sequence will be shot over a period of 25 days, a source reveals to the tabloid. It's been six days of this particular schedule so far. "It’s a 25-day schedule with back-to-back performances and will go on till the month-end. Varun, Shraddha, Prabhudheva and Nora (Fatehi) have rehearsed for almost a month for this act. It is being choreographed by Suresh Mukund," the source was quoted by the tabloid. Remo D'Souza Takes Varun Dhawan And Shraddha Kapoor's Street Dancer 3D To A Bigger Level - Here's How.
The teams have come from places like the United Kingdom, Germany, Africa and Nepal. Remo is totally going all out with this one and hence the set-up is pretty huge. Street Dancer 3D is being produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Remo's wife Lizelle D'souza. Talking about involving dancers from all across the world, Bhushan told the tabloid, "We are so glad that Street Dancer 3D has gone global and many artistes from across continents are a part of the finale act. The set looks spectacular and the actors have been rehearsing and shooting in the rain to complete the schedule on time."
Well, good on Varun that he didn't let his knee injury hamper the schedule of the film. We just hope he gets better from this minor hiccup. Street Dancer 3D will release next year during the Republic Day weekend.
