Unlike Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Wedding Will Not Be a Secret Affair

Deepika Padukone might have been reluctant in discussing her wedding on national television. Karan Johar confessed in the opening episode of Koffee With Karan season 6 that he had promised not to probe the Padmaavat heroine about her much talked about marriage with boyfriend Ranveer Singh. However, Ranveer and Deepika made an official announcement yesterday confirming all reports of their “ceremony”. The couple put out an official statement on social media and revealed that the nuptials will take place next month on November 14 and 15. Almost a year back there were similar reports hinting that Ranveer’s ex, Anushka Sharma was getting hitched to cricketer boyfriend Virat Kohli. The couple however blatantly denied this news. Later the couple had a grand, but intimate wedding in Tuscany. The wedding pictures and videos that came out literally sent the social media and the media in a tizzy.

Looks like Ranveer and Deepika do not want to deny their wedding. In fact, Ranveer had in a recent event said that when it happens he would make an official announcement. And the Gully Boy hero has indeed kept his promise. The much-in-love couple announced on social media about their wedding with identical posts. Deepika was shy to talk about her personal matters on camera, but she felt that she couldn’t hide news of her special day with die-hard fans. Both Ranveer and Deepika have a massive following and it would be a little unfair if the couple denied these reports and went on to get hitched. It is said that Deepika’s mother has organised a small ritual for the couple ahead of the wedding on November 10.

News of Ranveer-Deepika wedding started soon after Anushka-Virat tied the knot last year. By October reports were that the couple had finalised Lake Como in Italy for their big day on November 21. But with the announcement we now know that the wedding is a week before the discussed date.

Deepika, who was on the Koffee couch after much denial admitted that she was getting married before Alia. Karan and Alia joked about being invited to this extremely private function, the duo also joked and guessed which designer would dress up the beautiful actress on her special day. While Deepika said that Ranveer was a more difficult co-star she revealed that her beau was the best kisser and also rated him above Ranbir Kapoor in the best actor list. While Ranveer and Deepika have announced their wedding, the duo seems to be picking a page from Virat-Anushka. The two actors like Virushka posted same picture.
