In the last episode of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke we saw Kuhu is dumbstruck about Shweta’s confession while Abir saves Mishti from harassment. Later, Shweta informs Meenakshi about their successful ploy. Tonight's episode starts with Mishti (Rhea Sharma) and Abir (Shaheer Sheikh) discussing what is going on between Kuhu (Kaveri Priyam) and Kunal (Ritvik Arora). Just then their cab comes and they both sit inside to go home. At the Maheshwari mansion, Vishambar gets a call from Meenakshi, who tells him that he doesn’t have control on his daughters. Just then Rajshree shows Vishambar some snaps which she received on her mobile. Meanwhile, Mishti tells Abir that their families will be against Kunal and Kuhu’s relation. Abir asks her not to worry and to leave it on destiny to decide.  Vishambar and Shaurya are tensed when they come to know from Jasmit that Kuhu likes Kunal. There, Mishti tells Abir that she cannot lie to Rajshree about Kuhu and thinks she should tell her everything. The car stops and Mishti gets out of the car, Abir comes out and holds her hand and tells her to accept the truth. Kunal is enraged when he spots Abir holding Mishti’s hand and reminisces what Shweta told him about Abir and Misti.

Mishti tries to convince Kuhu that they should tell their family about her and Kunal’s relation. But Kuhu warns Mishti not to tell anything now as they will not understand her feelings and stop her from meeting Kunal. In the Maheshwari household, Vishambar questions Mishti and Kuhu when they come home. Mishti reveals everything that happened to him and Rajshree scolds Kuhu about meeting Kunal after what he did with Mishti. Meanwhile, in the Rajvansh household, Abir questions Kunal about why he went to the party and that this all was a ploy by Shweta. Kunal says that he is not affected by Shweta’s presence but he is just concerned for his family's happiness and nothing else. Meenakshi comes and yells at Kunal saying that he should talk to his elder brother with respect. Kunal leaves from there (yeh rishtey hai pyaar ke track plays in the background).

On the other hand, Mishti tries to make Kuhu understand that she should not cry and that she did this all for her. Kuhu tells Mishti that she does not know what love is and swears to God that when she (Mishti) loves someone she will not get him and will feel the pain just like how she (Kuhu) is feeling now.

In the next episode, Kunal reveals to Meenakshi that Abir loves Mishti, Meenakshi gets angry and slaps him.
