In yesterday’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai we saw Kartik, Naira, and Kairav bond together as a family. Elsewhere an enraged Vedika decides to confront Kartik. Tonight’s episode starts with Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) again fighting with each other, Kairav asks them are they always fighting. They are on the way to school for Kairav’s admission. Kairav says he is not able to concentrate, as he is practising for his interview and tells them to stop fighting. Kartik and Naira apologise for their behaviour. On the other hand, in the Goenka household, Suhasini asks Suwarna whether she has seen Vedika, just then a guard comes to inform them that Vedika has gone out taking her car. Suhasini worries as to where she has gone. Kartik and Naira reach the school for Kairav’s admission. The Principal starts with the procedure and asks questions to Kairav, he gives an answer to all the questions. The Principal is happy and tells them that he is a bright student and praises the parents, she gives them the admission form and confirms Kairav's enrollment.

At the Singhania house, Vedika is waiting for Kartik to return. Kartik, Naira, and Kairav return home. Vedika sees them and gets angry. Kairav greets Vedika and tells her that he got admission in a good school. Vedika tells Kartik that she wants to talk to him but Kartik tells that they should go home and talk. Vedika says that she wants to talk now only. Naira and all go inside.

Later, Vedika berates Kartik and asks him what is going on, Kartik tells her that he just came to see his child and nothing else. Vedika says she does not have a problem with Kairav but she will not tolerate if Naira comes between them, they both argue with each other. Kartik says he does not know what to do and he is not in the right state of mind to think. Vedika asks him if he ever thought of her? Kartik says he is trying his best to cooperate with her and he knows that he is responsible for her condition. Vedika says that Naira is between them and she feels all alone. But Kartik scolds Vedika and tells her to leave him and let him stay with his son. Kartik says who wants to live with him can stay and the others can go. Vedika says that she and Naira both are suffering and he is doing what he wants. Later, when Kartik goes, Naira comes to talk to Vedika but she runs out of the house and Naira follows her. Vedika runs on the streets and goes to a hill. Naira follows her but does not see her. Vedika comes to the edge of the mountain everything that happened. Naira shouts her name and comes searching for her. But just as Vedika is about to jump from the cliff, Naira holds her hand and saves her.

In the next episode, Naira says that all of this has happened because of her so she will only repair this by giving divorce to Kartik.
