In yesterday’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai we saw Naira is overwhelmed with Kairav’s gesture, while Kartik is lost in her memories. Today’s episode starts with Suhasini asking Kartik (Mohsin Khan) why is he behaving badly with Vedika and ignoring her. Suhasini tells that Vedika wants to share his sorrows but if he allows her to and that he should not hurt her feelings. Suhasini reminisces him as to how Vedika’s father saved him and took a promise from Kartik to take care of her. Suhasini pleads Kartik to think about all that and marry Vedika.

On the other side, Kairav surprises Naira (Shivangi Joshi) by baking a fruit cake and inviting all her friends for the birthday party. Kairav’s sweet gesture reminds Naira of Kartik as he also used to bake fruit cake for her ( yeh Rishta kya Kehlata hai track plays in the background).

Kairav wishes that his father should have been with them as he misses his presence. Naira reminisces about her past and pledges that she will never reveal anything about Kartik to Kairav as she does not want her past to trouble her and that she wants to be strong.

Meanwhile, Manish comes in the park where Kartik was sleeping for the whole night and chides him as to why he did not come home and why is he punishing himself for what happened with Naira as it was an accident. Kartik reveals that he was responsible for Naira’s accident.

Next day morning, when Kairav is having his breakfast, Naira tries to avoid Kairav as she does not want him to ask questions about his father. In the precap, Kairav dials a number on the phone and wishes it to be his father. Kartik gets a call and is shocked as someone calls him papa.
