In yesterday’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, we saw Kairav asks Kartik to come soon as he will be waiting for him. Kartik leaves with a heavy heart and wants Kairav not to wait for him as he is leaving for Udaipur. Today’s episode starts with Lisa sees Naira (Shivangi Joshi) hiding outside the house. Lisa asks her to tell the truth. Naira tries to make excuse but Lisa was hell-bent on knowing the truth so she tells her that he was Kartik (Mohsin Khan), Kairav's real father. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai July 8, 2019, Written Update Full Episode: Kartik Returns to Spend Quality Time with Kairav.

At Udaipur, Suhasini tells Vedika that Kartik needs a lover, not a friend. She tells her that she can't do any such thing as Kartik has trusted and befriended her. Suhasini is after Kartik's remarriage as a priest asked her to get Kartik remarried otherwise trouble may befall him.

Lisa says Kartik loves Kairav so much when he knows he is not his son and would love him more if knows the truth. Naira says Kartik won't accept him and refuses to tell the reason. She says she will give him her 200 per cent love and will try to compensate but can't reconcile with Kartik. Lisa calls her selfish.

While Naira is worrying about her expenses, a man comes and rents out her scooter. However, one five hundred note flies away and Naira tries to run after it. She is about to come under a car but the driver pulls the break on time. Akhilesh, who is the same car is shocked to see Naira alive. At the same time, she gets a call from Kairav and calls him the baby and Akhilesh hears her.

Akhilesh tries to go after Naira but due to traffic misses her and she leaves. He baffled to know that Naira is alive and feels it must have been his imagination but later concludes that she was not Naira as how can she have a child.

At the old age home, an old man draws a frog on Kairav's face. He asks Naira to send his picture to Kartik with a message 'I miss you, I love you.' She sends the picture and tells Lisa that she will do anything for Kairav.

The weather becomes bad. Kartik is about to leave the hotel and wonders what is wrong with the weather. He talks with Naira’s photo and tells her that if they would have had a son he would be exactly like Kairav. He sees Akhilesh in the hotel lobby. He asks him how come he is in Goa and if everything is alright at home.

On the other side, Naira sings a lullaby for Kairav. There's a power cut when someone knocks on the door. Naira is shocked to see Kartik outside her house.
