In yesterday’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai we saw Kartik is surprised to see Kairav, Swarna tells the Goenka’s how he is related to Kartik while Vansh is displeased. Later, Kartik insists on meeting Kairav’s mother. Tonight’s episode starts with Vansh asks Kartik (Mohsin Khan) is he really Kairav’s father, Kartik tells that he is not his real father but takes a promise from him not to tell this to Kairav as he might feel bad. Kairav tells Kartik to asks apology to his mother as she might be angry with him that is why she is not coming inside. Kairav is not ready to leave Kartik and go. Kartik tells Lisa to bring Naira inside. On the other side, Vedika entertains Kairav and feeds him ice-cream. Suhasini comes and tells Vedika to go and change as the engagement function will start soon. Kartik feeds Kairav and Vansh. Kartik thinks why is Kairav’s mother not coming inside and why she is having so much ego. Suhasini and all see Kairav and feel happy as Kartik is so happy when he is around. Kairav brings all the family to the dining and tells that all should eat together as his mother tells him every time. They all have a good time with Kairav (yeh Rishta kya Kehlata hai track song plays in the background). Lisa is happy for Kairav and thinks why is Naira not coming inside.

Meanwhile, Naira calls Lisa and tells her to go to Kartik and tell him that Kairav’s mother met with an accident. On the other side, Vedika is getting ready for her engagement but misses her father, she vows that she will make Kartik happy and replace Naira in his life. Just then Kairav comes in her room and tells her that he wants to use the washroom and goes inside. Kartik comes and asks where is Kairav. Vedika tells that he is in the washroom. Lisa comes inside the room and tells Kartik about Naira’s accident. Kartik asks where is she and how is she now. Lisa says that she is fine but has to go to the hotel and they have to leave as she needs them there and request Kartik to persuade Kairav to come with her. Kartik tries to make Kairav understand that he should go now and he will come little later as he has some work. Suhasini gives shagun to Kairav and blesses him and tells Kartik was same as him when he was a child. Lisa takes Kairav with her and tells him to say goodbye to all of them. Kairav leaves the Goenka’s house.

In the precap, the doctor tells Naira that Kairav has major illness and will not live for a longer time.
