Today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik (Mohsin Khan) asking Kirti to wake up for her baby. Kartik looks from the mirror and sees Kirti’s toes movement, but is confused that it actually happened or not. Just then Naira (Shivangi Joshi) comes in with the baby and the baby is crying a lot. Naira adds that the baby is crying and he wants that Kirti to wake up. Naira says that Kirti should wake up and find a name for the baby. Naira keeps the baby beside Kirti and the baby stops crying. Naira tells that the baby looks like her. Kartik recalls when he took the baby from the hospital and gave it to Naira’s seeing her condition and thinks he is not bad but had to do it. Luv and Kush come to call Naira and Kartik for the Naamkaran rituals. When Naira holds the baby, he starts crying. Kartik folds hands in front of Kirti. Kirti moves her hand, but Kartik and Naira couldn’t notice it.

Kartik and Naira take down the baby and everyone is blessing the baby. The baby is crying and Luv-Kush is making fun of baby’s crying. Dadi asks them not to talk about this. Naira says that if the baby is crying, then he should cry louder so that Kirti listens to it and wakes up and takes him in her arms. Suhasini tells that she had told Nair that let Kirti stay in the hospital till she recovers but Devyani says that they will take care of her in home and Naksh will also spend time with her. Surekha tells that in the hospital she could have been treated well, but Kaveri tells that in the house they can give more attention to Kirti. Naira looks at a piece of news about a baby who was lost and gets worried. Kartik consoles her and tells her that don’t think about this. Naira says that she will die if her baby gets separated from her. She adds that she can’t live without her baby and will kill anyone who tries to take her baby.

Naira is playing with the baby and Kartik comes. She tells that today is the baby’s vaccination day and she has told them to come home and give it, Kartik sees  Leela and asks why she has come here. Leela says that according to the papers, this baby is premature and one who will come to give the injection is not for this baby but the premature baby. Leela says that she wants the file so that she can do something. Kartik says that the file is in Naira’s bag. But Leela says that it can create a lot of problems. Kartik says that she could have contacted him on the phone instead of coming here. Naira comes and looks at Leela. Naira asks about Leela and Kartik says that he has called her. He says that Naira will get tired for the whole day so it’s good if Leela stays here. Kartik says that he will keep Naira busy so that Leela can take out the file from Naira’s bag.

Surekha suggests the list of names for the baby. Everyone is suggesting their own names and Rukmini is happy that everyone will get excited with her name. Suhasini tells that if Rukmini keeps any funny names she will not agree to it. Naira looks at Kartik and thinks that she is busy with the baby so can’t give any time to Kartik. Naira gives the baby to Dadi and takes Kartik in the corner. Naira hugs Kartik but Kartik's mind is elsewhere. Leela tries to take the file from the bag but is not able to open the bag chain and the person has come for baby’s vaccination. Leela is stuck with the bag and couldn’t take out the documents. The person introduces himself to Naira. Kartik is confused about the situation and couldn’t do anything.

In the precap, Everyone is celebrating the baby’s Naamkaran rituals. Kirti moves her hand in the room. Shivam name is given to the baby!
