Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai took a leap of 5 years, a month and a half back, where Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) were shown separated. While Kartik and family are under the impression that Naira is dead, Naira is very much alive and living in Goa with her and Kartik's son. The show’s track is currently focusing on how Kairav is ill and Naira and Lisa have got him to Udaipur. The show will also have a small crossover episode with Sanjivani 2 wherein Surbhi Chandna as Dr Ishaani will step in to save Kairav. It will be revealed that Kairav has been suffering from the same brain clot as Naira and will soon be hospitalised, while Kartik unaware of the situation will be seen getting ready to marry Vedika.
