Today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Shubham interrupting the romance between Naira(Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik( Mohsin Khan). Kartik feels irritated and Naira coaxes him to open the door anyhow. Shubham is all worked up over getting ready to meet his in-laws. Shubham asks Kartik to help him get ready. Kartik agrees though he is miffed at being interrupted. Later Swarna is trying he best to convince Manish who says he does not understand all the hurry in this relationship. Swarna says she does not want Shubham’s heart to break. Manish asks her to do as she wishes because she seems to have made up her mind on this. Dadi interrupts the two and says that they would just meet the family today and it would mean nothing at all.

Manish is still not convinced but Kartik and Naira get Shubham down and take the conversation to a different route. The family compliments Shubham who credits the look to his brother’s help. The lights in the room flicker and Dadi says that it is a bad omen. Kartik calms Dadi but is soon interrupted by Suhana. Suhana steps in and says she has been taught how to remove the effect of bad omen and she picks up two stones rubbing them against each other. Dadi is impressed by her knowledge in such things. Suhana takes the blessings of the elders but Manish refuses to let her take his blessings. Dadi asks Suhana abput her family and she introduces her mother-Savita playing the role, Savita walks in after checking the time. She says that she believes in doing things in the good time as per astrology impressing Dadi once again.

Rahul too walks in as they get gifts for the family. Savita gifts Naira a box which contains the Krishna statue. Savita praises Shubham and Suhana’s choice. She says that Suhana’s father pampered his daughter and also wanted her to marry a prince. All this while Luv and Kush are busy trying to open the gift. Suhana asks them to let her help and she opens the gift revealing the krishna statue. Naira immediately recognises the statue and points it out aloud. Suhana and Savita are shocked as they look at each other to find a way through this. The family sees the statue and everyone recognises the statue. Savita plays a card and asks Rahul to show them the reciept of the purchase, she asks him to take out the reciept from his pocket. Rahul takes out a folded bill. Savita hands it over to Naira and asks her to check. Naira though says she does not want to check and she apologises for saying such a thing.

Savita then hands over the shagun to Shubham and confirma the relationship and asks them to do the same to Suhana. As Suhana leaves Swarna stops her and hands her with her own bangles. Later Manish gets very angry and asks everyone what the hurry is all about. Swarna reminds Manish of a promise he had made to her that he would do anything for her. Manish asks Swarna to do what she likes but be careful that she does not have to repent later.    Naira and Kartik walk into Manish’s room and calm him down. Manish asks te duo to promise him that they will not let anything wrong happen. Naira and Kartik promise that they will ensure to speak to Swarna and Shubham to take it all slow. Later Naira feels like she cannot shake away the feeling about something amiss in the relationship even though she cannot pinpont on anything as such. Kartik and Naira both feel that the statue is the same that was stolen and also they  are reminded of the seal of the maker on the statue. They decide to check on it.
