Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Tanvi dragging Naira (Shivangi Joshi) away so they can complain against Kartik(Mohsin Khan). Tanvi says that she had copied the entire test from Naira and so if she can be passed why Naira has not been. Naira is hesitant but Tanvi drags her, and they complain, but the authorities refuse to register the complain as Kartik is the trustee.

Naira turns to go and bumps straight into Kartik who asks Tanvi to wait outside while he wants to speak to Naira. He shows the answer sheet to the authorities and says that someone spilt coffee on her answer paper and so he could not read them. Kartiki hands over the question paper for the retest to Naira and she chances to see his finger and does not find their ring on his finger. Kartik too sees Naira's finger and feels the same.

Sudhir and Naitik wonder why Naira has not returned. Manish is watching TV with Luv and Kush when he notices Naira in the background of a rally happening, and he is happy. Swarna too is there, but she does not see Naira. Niara returns home, and Naitik asks her about why she was late. He finds out that she has decided to continue in the same college. Naitik is happy, but he also notices that Naira is worried about something and links it to her past.

Naira looks at her wedding ring and wonders why Kartik removed his ring. Kartik is also disturbed by the fact that he did not find the ring on Niara's finger. Naira remembers how in the past she was unable to go to Goenka house as her leg was hurt and finally Naitik had gone. Swarna and Naitik had ended up in a heated argument. Naira had walked in seeing this and had asked Swarna to not shout at her father. This had also instigated Swarna to scream at Naira and Naira had said that she would not leave the house as it is her right to stay there. Kartik had walked in hearing this and also seen his mother faint.

Kartik did not speak to Naira and walks away. Naira feels hurt that he never turned to look at her after that. Kirti realises that she has made an error while sending the order for Swarna's client and Devyani asks her to rectify the same at the earliest. Swarna thinks that it would be better Kartik stays on in Mumbai as she is time and again worried about the promise Manish made to Luv-Kush about Naira's return. Kartik hides the facts from Swarna.
