Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik(Mohsin Khan) screaming at Naira(Shivangi Joshi) calling her Naira Goenka. Tanvi corrects Kartik telling him that she is Naina Singhania. Naira finds it hard to stay still as she sees Kaira written on the desk. Naira stands up to leave and accidentally pushes the desk. Kartik holds it from falling, and he too notices Kara carved on the desk. He and Naira look at each other as Kartik thinks how Naira is running from the name which always wanted to be together.

Kartik says that he wants no disturbance in the class anymore and Naira takes her seat again. Now Kartik announces a test and Naira thinks that he is purposely trying to show her down as he is aware that she has not studied in any good schools. Kartik though has something else on the mind, and he thinks that he needs to be aware of how much Naira has changed in two years before he makes an opinion regarding her.

Kartik takes the test as he keeps staring at Naira. Naira finishes her test and gives her answer sheet to Kartik as she walks away. Naitik is waiting for Naira to return home as he wonders what is taking her so long to get her name removed from the college. Kirti receives a call from Swarna who tells her about an order from a friend of hers. Kirti accepts it on Bhabhima's insistence even though Devyani is against it. Devyani asks Kirti to be careful as Swarna might get angry over the smallest goof up. Swarna tells Manish that she never wanted Kirti to lose out on her home.

Swarna also blames Kirti for never understanding her own mother's pain and taking the side of her in-laws. Naitik calls Naira to ask her where she is and she says that she is returning home. Tanvi thanks Naira and says that she copied the entire test from Naira as Kartik had his whole focus on Naira. Bhabhima does not have her hearing aid on when she gets the call from Swarna's referred client for Kirti. She takes the order but takes it wrong and informs the same to Kirti.

Naira and Kartik come across each other again in a mess and Naira in her frantic throws a cup of coffee over the answer sheet Kartik is correcting. The answer sheet is her own. Kartik is upset that the answer sheet is spoilt. He passes everyone in the class and asks Naira to retake the test. Naira thinks that she knew Kartik would do this.
