Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with a drunk Kartik(Mohsin Khan) trying to get his answers from Naira(Shivangi Joshi). Naira takes Kartik's phone and messages Suhasini saying he is staying back at a friend's house.

Suhasini is relieved to get the message. Swarna is seen panicking as she asks Manish if they should get Kartik married again. Manish is shocked at this suggestion and tries to remind Swarna that Kartik and Naira are still married and very much in love. Swarna refuses even to hear Naira's name and says that she would never let Naira into the house or Kartik's life.

There Naitik too worries as Naira is not responding to his messages. He blurts out that Kartik and Suhasini stay at the top floor flat. This leaves the family shocked. Devuyani does not like the idea, and Bhabhima expresses her concern as she says that Swarna was planning to get Kartik married again. Naitik is taken aback.

Later Naitik and Naksh spend some quality time together, and Naksh tells Naitik that probably Bhabhima heard wrong. Naksh also tells Naitik that he misses everyone and feels lonely. Naira gets Kartik to their building while drunk Kartik is under the impression that they are returning home. Kartik gets naughty as he troubles Naira and gets romantic.

Naira brings him into her house and asks him to sleep. Kartik wants to hug her and Naira realises that Kartik is under the impression that they are the old Kaira. Kartik pulls Naira onto the bed and gets intimate as she resists. Kartik asks her why she is shy when they are married.

They are interrupted by Kittu who wants balm for her Dadi. As Naira goes to get it Kittu chances to see Kartik step out of Naira's bedroom. Kittu walks away with the balm. Naira gets Kartik to the bed as he demands to be put to sleep.

Later Kartik again walks out of the bedroom and finds Naira asleep on the couch. He joins her on the couch, and they sleep in each other's arms. Next morning Swarna is desperate as she cannot reach Kartik. Naira wakes up and tries to disentangle herself from Kartik and the blanket covering them.

Kartik too wakes as they struggle with the blanket. Swarna calls Dadi who is also worried about Kartik. Finally, Kartik messages Swarna that he would call back. As he walks out Naira asks him why he started drinking, but Kartik refuses to answer that question and walks off.
