Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with both Kartik(Mohsin Khan) and Naira(Shivangi Joshi) shocked watching the water sprinkle on their idol of Ganpathi. They rush to the place and Kartik tells Naira they will not let their hope break. As they reach the idol they see it intact even though wet. They are happy to see everything good. Later that morning as Naira gets ready for ghanghor she hurries around worrying. Kartik watches her and stops her mid way. He asks her to breathe and makes her relax. Then he himself dresses her up as he asks her to smile as he does not want anyone to find out about Naira's medical condition leading to even more tensions.Naira promises to smile and keep this to themselves.

Dadi gets the gynecologist's call who informs her that she is travelling to London for 3months and that Keerti and Naira will have to look after themselves for a while. Dadi is a bit taken aback to hear Naira's name too. Dadi asks the doctor to meet them at the ghat before she leaves. Dadi later shares her confusion with Sulekha and Keerti. Sulekha says that probably she just knew Naira well and it meant nothing more. Dadi then strictly forbids Keerti from fasting and asks her to message home about it. Keerti messages Devyani saying she will not fast. But exactly then Naksh enters with a tiffin of halwa. Naksh says that he is supposed to feed this to Keerti and also feed her juices and fruits from time to time throughout the pooja.

Keerti feels guilty to have messaged Devyani and Dadi too feels guilt ridden. At the ghat they conduct the pooja as Naira and Kartik get the ganpathi idol on a swing which they share together. The family is impressed by the way they share their responsibilities. They conduct the pooja while Kartik sees a hand broken  but soon the two together fix it. The family dances to songs as Dadi notices Kartik not leaving Naira alone for a moment and wonders what is going on. Dadi worries when the doctor will be there. Suddenly Naira notices the doctor and she panics as she tells Kartik about this. They together search for the doctor. The family is shocked as Suhana crawls to the pooja on her knees. Dadi is very furious but Swarna begs her not to say anything as of now. Kartik and Naira meet the doctor and tells her that they have yet not spoken to their families. Kartik tells the doctor he knows that Naira cannot conceive but they are ready to try. Dadi who is on a merry go round right behind them hears it all.
