Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Naira(Shivangi Joshi) finally getting a taxi and she takes it. She asks the driver to give her the phone as she has to make an emergency call. She calls Kartik(Mohsin Khan) but he does not take the call. Later she calls home and talks to Luv -Kush who tell her that everyone is coming home with Shubham. Naira feels everything is fine and she sighs with relief as she too heads home. Luv and Kush are shocked to see the decorations being removed and then later Shubham's body being brought in.

Swarna breaks down and the family laments Shubham's death. Kartik remembers how Shubham took Naira's name again and again. He also remembers how he had made Naira promise him that she will hide nothing from him. He remembers how he saw her tensed all the time and had asked her again and again but she never spoke a word. Naira reaches home with the hope that she will now make Shubham say the truth to the family. She walks in and is shocked to see Shubham's body. She screams at the sight and walks to Kartik as she cries. Kartik confronts her for hiding this truth and asks her how she could such a major truth from him and the family. She knew Shubham was at risk and still chose to keep this to herself. Kartik blames her for Shubham's death.

Later Swarna lashes out at her as she slaps her and forbids her from touching Shubham's body. She says that Naira killed Shubham. Kartik asks Naiar to go away and Naiar steps out of the house as she tells Kartik that she would wait for him. Naira stands on a ledge as she screams out to Kartik asking him if Shubham meant nothing to her. She thinks that she would go nowhere without speaking to Kartik. Kartik and the men are taking Shubham's body for the last rights as Kartik wonders how Naira could just leave him at this hour even though he asked her to. He looks around for her. Naira suddenly slips and falls off the ledge.
