Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th May 2018 Written Update of Full Episode: Shubham Succumbs to Drug Overdose While Naira chases the Drug Dealers

Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Naira(Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik(Mohsin Khan) sneaking away mid night as Naira once again surprises Kartik with a beautifully decorated garden and lots of fireworks. She also has a tattoo on her neck of his name and he says that even when they are not together they will still be with each other and Naira says that no one can separate him from her. Next morning as Naira is collecting flowers from the garden she notices the drug dealers around and she recognises them. Shubham is lieing unconscious elsewhere as Naira runs behind the goons.

Kartik is walking the garden searching for Naira when he hears Shubham's ringtone and as he follows it he sees Shubham frothing from mouth and lieing unconscious. Kartik rushes to help him as Manish too is there shocked. Naira who is still running behind the goons hits her head and falls down unconscious. Kartik and Manish take Shubham to teh hospital as they do not see Naira unconscious. Akhilesh gets the news from Manish as the family sits for breakfast. Kartik and Manish reach the hospital and admit Shubham.

Naiar gets conscious and comes to know from the watchman that someone has been taken to the hospital and Naira guesses that it might be Shubham. The doctors make initial enquiries but the family knows nothing. Naira tries calling Kartik from the watchman's number but he does not take the call. The entire family reaches the hospital. Shubham keeps repeating to his family that he does not want to die. The doctors see puncture marks on Shubham's body and realise what is going on and ask the family about it.

The family is shocked to hear this. The family remembers each time they had seen Shubham intoxicated. The doctors want to know what Shubham has been taking and for how long. They try reaching his friends in vain. Suddenly Shubham tells the family that Naira knows and this shocks the family even more. Naira is travelling by car and Kartik is not able to reach her. The car breaks down and Naira is unable to reach the hospital. The doctors are unable to help Shubham as his condition worsens. Shubham passes away while Naira is still running to the hospital.
