Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik(Mohsin Khan) feeling guilty and worried about Naitik. Next morning Naira (Shivangi Joshi) fusses over Naitik as she tries to feed him. Naitik asks Naira if all is well in her college and she says that she goes to the college to study and she is doing only that. Kartik watches them sit in the balcony. Naitik asks Naira to go to college as he is fine now.

Kartik orders a healthy fruit drink for Naitik and Naira thinks that Naitik's doctor has done it. At Goenka house, Sulekha once again creates a scene over Dadi's disappearing act and blames Swarna for all of this. Sulekha says that if Swarna did not do what she did a year back then, Dadi would not have left. Kartik reaches college and bumps into Naira. He asks her to rejoins his class as he is aware that Naitik was unwell. Naira asks him not to change any rules for her. Kartik convinces her to stay though.

In the class, there is a discussion for the freshers' party as Naira is supposed to dance with Kunal. Kartik hears this and feels jealous. Kartik leaves soon enough and does not hear Naira refusing to dance. Kunal though is adamant to make Naira dance with him. Later Naira goes to drink some water and passes the auditorium. She sees some students dancing, and she feels very disturbed. She sits down and looks at her old injury on her leg. Kirti calls Naira then, but she does not take the call. She goes on to drink water and leaves her phone on the bench.

Kunal walks out and reads a message on Naira's phone from Kirti and realises that Naira is married. He now intends to use this against Naira. Naira walks back to him and sees him sitting on the bench. Kartik walks by and sees the two together. He boils with jealousy as he walks away. He decides to avoid Naira. Later Kirti calls Naira on video call and chances to see Kartik in the background. Kirti wonders why even though after they have met still there has been no progress between the two. Kartik once again sees Naira and Kunal together and decides to go for the freshers' party. Kunal challenges Kartik for a fist fight, and Kartik takes it.
