Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik getting locked up in the cupboard as Devyani tries to open it. Devyani says that the wardrobe usually gets locked.

She says she will find its key later and walks away. Naira panics as she asks Kartik to stay put while she finds the key. Naira rushes down and demands Devyani to get her the key.

She says that she has an important certificate in there. Devyani relents and says she will get her the key. Manish walks into Kartik's room and does not find him there.

He checks the CCTV and finds Kartik jumping over the wall. Manish understands that Kartik has not been in his room the entire night. Naira opens Kartik and he falls into her arms. (Also Read: Kartik and Naira to get married again soon?)

They have a cosy moment and Naitik just misses seeing them. Later naira asks Kartik to go and also asks him to not listen to his mind anymore. She says that they have to convince the family for the sake of their love. Kartik returns home to find Manish there.

Manish questions Kartik over meeting Naira. Kartik worries about how he will convince Swarna if even Manish is not on his side. Naira decides to speak to Swarna first.

She sees the women preparing for Teej and wants to keep the fast too. Kartik and Naira meet at the temple with the intention of talking to Swarna. Swarna is praying for Kartik's safety and also pleads with God to give her Kartik back. Kartik finds a blind man and offers to drop him.

Swarna turns to walk away and slips. Naira holds her auspicious coconut from falling. Swarna starts yelling at her and asks her to not follow her around. Kartik watches the two. Later Kartik calms Naira and says that they will not give up hope.

Swarna walks away as she prays that Naira and Kartik never unite. Kartik and Naira do the pooja for the teej. Next morning as Naira prepares for her fast she sees Kartik at her window and they both talk about fasting for each other. They have their meal for the day together. Naksh and Naitik smell food as they are walking by Naira room worrying about her happiness.
