While she is often accused of putting regressive content in her daily soaps, producer Ekta Kapoor often looks to push the boundaries in her movies and web-series. The films she produced like Ragini MMS and its sequel, Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Kya Kool Hai Hum series, The Dirty Picture are bold in their content. Same rules apply to her web-series that stream on her app ALTBalaji, be it the sexy horror series Ragini MMS 2.2, the subversive Dev DD and the boundary-pushing Gandii Baat. Well, she and her director Ken Ghosh push the cover even further with their upcoming series, XXX Uncensored. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Ekta Kapoor Reveals Secret Behind the Character Names Prerna and Anurag Basu.

Going by the title, you know what to expect from the series. The trailer that has been recently revealed provides ample amount of titillation, however, that's not the only content the series looks to offer. The series seems to be more about focussing on the humour underlying in awkward and taboo situations like one-night stands, voyeurism, fantasies and other kinky ideas.

XXX Uncensored stars Rithvik Dhanjani, Shantanu Maheshwari, Ankit Gera, Kyra Dutt, Meherzan Mazda, Aparna Sharma, Aparna Bajpai, Aadar Malik, Pryanca Talukdar and Sneha Arun. It will narrate five sensual stories in its first season.

Intriguingly, Ken Ghosh and Ekta Kapoor were to make a movie out of this concept earlier with the same title. They had even released a poster. However, perhaps fearing the stringent Censor Board then, they dropped the idea and instead make it into a web-series where the lack of CBFC outreach helps in pushing bold content.
