She had replaced Giaa Manek in the serial but managed to win over the loyal fans with her fine acting chops. For five years, from 2012 to 2017 until the show’s end, she successfully played the lead role. Post her stint as a daily soap actress, Devoleena continued to remain in the news with her bold avatar on social media.
With nearly 800k followers on Instagram, the TV star cashed on the new-found popularity as an influencer. She shattered the notions attached to an Indian TV actress such as their traditional desi look. Devoleena Bhattacharjee’s Connection in Businessman Rajeshwar Udani’s Murder Case
Sachin Pawar and Dinesh Pawar are believed to be the main accused in the 57-year-old diamond trader, Rajeshwar Udani’s mysterious murder. Devoleena’s name cropped up after her phone number was found in Udani's call details. According to ANI news agency, Udani had been reported missing by his family from his office from November 28. Pawar and Bhattacharjee were grilled for several hours on Saturday by police in Ghatkopar after Udani’s decomposed body was found in the forests of adjoining Raigad district.
Meanwhile, Devoleena is back at her home. She lives with her mother and younger brother. She remained tight-lipped about her connection in the murder case as advised by her lawyer but promised to hold a press conference once allowed to. She said, "I can't give any statement right now because my lawyer asked me to not to. So, after two-three days, when things will be fine, I will do one press conference." Devoleena assured her fans of being safe and not to worry about her. She said, "There's nothing to be tensed. I am safe and at home. It was just a normal investigation. Nothing to worry about."
