Star Plus is back with yet another mythological show and looks like this one too will be on par with their magnum opus Mahabharat, at least when it comes to the budget. Titled Namah, this mythological show is all about the special friendship that Lords Shiva and Vishnu share and starring in the roles are actors Vikkas Manaktala and Savi Thalur respectively. The promos of the show were launched a few weeks back and frankly speaking, the quality of VFX that we witnessed, has totally floored us. Vikkas Manaktala Roped In To Play Lord Shiva In Star Plus’ Namah!
Take A Look At The Promo Below:
While big budget shows are not new to Indian television, things only step up when the show is of the supernatural or mytho genre, considering the humungous use of special effects and VFX. And the team of Namah is said to be shelling out a staggering Rs 30 lakhs per episode. Not only that, but the makers have also roped in 20 VFX agencies and are spending lakhs of rupees only on special effects for the show! Vikkas Manaktala Is on a Keto Diet for His ‘Lord Shiva’ Role in Namah
Getting into the details of the special effects that are being used to get the characters of Shiva and Visnu right, it is being said that as the two deities portray very different sides visually, lot of warm tones like orange and yellow, will be used for Lord Vishnu's portrayal on-screen while cool colours like blues and greys, will be used for Lord Shiva. In order to make this a visual treat, the makers have hired national as well as international agencies to help with the VFX on the show.
