After several television actors like Mouni Roy, Ankita Lokhande, Kritika Kamra, Radhika Madan and more, who made a mark on the small-screen, have expanded their work horizons, the latest to join the bandwagon is this Vadodara girl Mazel Vyas, who is known for her roles in shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji on Star Plus. Yes, while many newcomers often would have to wait for years before bagging prestigious projects with the likes of actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt among others, Mazel has managed bag a meaty role in the forthcoming action drama period Shamshera.
Earlier Mazel, who has bagged a pivotal role in Ranbir's next, had earlier dropped a hint about her Bollywood debut. She had told a publication, "I am on the verge of signing something big, but I can’t disclose much about it right now. So, the year has started well and I hope 2019 stays that way, further adding, "I also have my class 10 board exams coming up, and I feel reasonably confident. I have been balancing studies and work for about six years now, and I carry my books on the sets to prepare for my board exams. It hasn’t been that difficult because my school as well as the production houses have been very supportive. Studies have always been my top priority."

While we wish Mazel all the luck with her board and her Bollywood project, tell us whether or not are you excited to see this small-screen actress on the silver screens? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. In other news, the shoot of Mazel's film is expected to wrap-up by the end of 2019, while it is expected to hit the screens on July 31, 2020.
Helmed by Karan Malhotra (who has earlier directed Agneepath), the film has a star studded cast, comprising Ranbir Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Vaani Kapoor, to name a few. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a never before avatar as he will play a deadly dacoit in Shamshera, while Dutt has been roped in to play the role of a 'roaring villain' against Ranbir Kapoor in Shamshera.
Earlier, while talking about his film, Ranbir had said, "Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me. Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge." Bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, Shamshera is one of the most anticipated films of 2020.
