Critics' Opinions on 'The Mystery of Moksha Island'
123 Telugu says, "The Mystery of Moksha Island works only in parts. While Nandhu, Priya Anand, Akshara Gowda, and Ashutosh Rana perform well, a stronger story with better twists, along with a more engaging screenplay, could have made it a much better watch. The slow middle episodes, unnecessary intimate scenes, and lacklustre climax detract from the experience. Even if you’re not a hardcore fan of the genre, this series may not appeal to you much. Exploring other entertainment options might be a better choice."
OTT Play says, "On the whole, The Mystery of Moksha Island is a passable series that has decent thrills. Though the pace dips a bit in the middle episodes and the panic needed is missing, the presence of popular actors, sold visuals, and decent action keeps you at bay. If you are the ones who love survival thrillers, The Mystery of Moksha Island can easily be given a shot as such content is rare in Telugu."
Filmy Focus says, "A Telugu web series called Locked, which was released during the lockdown, became a hit with a similar concept. Anish Kuruvilla wrote The Mystery of Moksha Island along the same lines. However, while the writing worked out brilliantly, the execution lacked emotional depth. Despite this, with each episode being under 30 minutes, strong production design, and engaging narration, the series manages to come across as reasonably entertaining overall."
