Colors' much-celebrated show The Kapil Sharma Show 2 started with a bang and became one of the biggest shows in the country, raking in the highest TRP. After a couple of few smooth weekends, Kapil Sharma's show has landed in a controversy yet again. Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments in the wake of Pulwama terror attack had not been taken kindly by most and was asked by the channel, Sony TV, to leave The Kapil Sharma Show. However, Sony TV officially announced Archana Puran Singh’s inclusion in The Kapil Sharma Show 2 and welcomed her on board. The channel had also taken to the micro-blogging site to share a video clip of Archana taking Navjot Singh Sidhu's seat, further confirming the news. Kapil Sharma Joins TikTok, Asks Fans to Follow Him @realkapilsharma! A couple of minutes later, Kapil shared another video and wrote, "#uncensored #TheKapilSharmaShow #Tkss coming soon on my #youtube channel KapilSharmaK9 🤗"

Speaking of Sidhu's statement on the Pulwama Attack, the cricketer-turned-politician, during a media interaction, had said, "Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act." Following this statement of Sidhu, the netizens began bashing him severely on social media, demanding that the channel (Sony - the broadcasters of The Kapil Sharma Show) should be boycotted till Sidhu is removed from the show.
