The finale of The Boys Season 4 is arriving on July 18, and it’s clear the showrunners have some serious consequences in store for us. In the previous episode, The Boys are on the verge of creating a virus capable of killing Homelander. A-Train finally moves to the good side. Starlight is kidnapped by a shapeshifter who has sex with her oblivious boyfriend, Hughie, and something is stolen from their locker. The Boys Season 4 Episode 7 Recap: From Deep’s ‘Octopussy’ Moment to Starlight’s Sex Scene Twist, 9 WTF Moments From Superhero Show That Left Us Shocked!

The final episode, titled "Assassination Run," focuses on a plot to assassinate the President of the USA. The timing is quite jarring, considering the recent real-world assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, during a rally on July 13. Given The Boys' satirical take on the rise of right-wing politics, it will be interesting to see how the finale handles this.

Several main characters enter the final episode with a sword of Damocles hanging over their heads. In this feature, we look at five characters who may not survive the finale, based on the hints and teases throughout the season.

1. A-Train (Jessie T Usher)

A-Train, initially introduced in a negative light when he accidentally killed Hughie's girlfriend, has been struggling with his moral compass, especially regarding his family. This season, he openly revolts against Homelander by exposing himself as the "leak" in Vought for The Boys and fighting Deep in the penultimate episode. This likely seals his fate, as Homelander does not take betrayal lightly. Just ask the previous Black Noir.

2. Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit)

Victoria Neuman is more of an anti-hero than an outright villain like Homelander. She has done some bad things, but there is goodness within her, which even Hughie believes in. In episode 7, Hughie appeals to her better nature, and you can see her reluctance to go along with Homelander's despotic plan. Will she be assassinated instead of the President in the finale? Or will she turn completely against The Boys when she learns what Butcher did to her lover, Dr Sameer Shah?

3. Firecracker (Valorie Curry)

Firecracker, the super who could somewhat soften Homelander with her, errr... mammary glands, has been an intriguing addition to the villain roster. However, it doesn’t feel like she has the dynamics to survive this season and return for the next. 4. Frenchie (Tomer Capone)

The Boys has not suffered many casualties yet, and Butcher's days are certainly numbered, yet we want to believe he could survive for another season somehow. We are not that confident about the guilt-ridden Frenchie, though. Frenchie came out as bisexual this season, found love, and then lost it when he confessed to his boyfriend about killing his family. He has been struggling with the guilt of his past actions. Will his death be his redemption?

5. Marvin’s Milk (Laz Alonso)

MM has been going through an emotional crisis, worrying about his family’s safety and even suffering a panic attack. Since he stepped into more of a leadership role this season, will he be the one to make the ultimate sacrifice in the finale?
