The makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who were looking out for a suitable replacement for Disha Vakani's character, have put the casting for Dayaben on hold. Actress Disha Vakani, who played one of the most-loved characters of Daya Ben, was loved for her typical style and accent on the show. However, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been surrounded by a pool of controversies ever since Disha went on maternity leave in 2018 while fans are waiting for the actress to make her return and they have even flooded Disha’s Instagram posts with their messages. And now, according to the latest report in TellyChakkar, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have put the casting for Dayaben’s character on hold. Yes you read that right! "The team is not in a hurry to bring Dayaben back in the show. Also, they are on the lookout for an actor who can play the role to perfection. Talking about the actress' demand, Disha has reportedly demanded a hike. The actress, who used to charge Rs 1.25 lakh per episode, will now be charging Rs 1.50 lakh per episode. Speaking of working hours, the actress has told the makers that she could only work for 15 days in the 11 am to 6 pm shift. Reports also suggest that she wants to wrap up with her shoot by 6 pm in any condition as she can't compromise on spending quality time with her daughter and family. However, the production house disagreed to the demands put forward by the actress.
