Supriya Pathak Reveals How the Late Sridevi Made Her Imitate Hansa on a Flight Three Years Ago
Supriya Pathak on how Sridevi made her talk like Hansa on a flight once, "It was embarrassing for a moment, but that just showed how much she loved the characters."
The last weekend's episode of Khichdi saw the cast paying tribute to the late Sridevi. The episode was apparently shot in November 2017 and the makers were debating whether to make changes in the episode or not currently. But since the track did not have anything against the actress and wasn't derogatory to the actress at all, they decided to go ahead with it. It was quite an episode where Hansa loses her memory and becomes a 16-year-old mentally. That's when they played some of Sridevi's classic numbers as a tribute to her.
Producer of the show, JD Majethia, who also plays Himanshu in the show told TOI, "The episode had an interesting gag involving Sridevi. When she passed away in February, we were reluctant to air that part. However, we then felt that there was nothing derogatory about it and we were referring to her in a humour sequence, which actually will be our tribute to the legendary actress. She had once told us that she loved the first season of our show" The producer and Supriya Pathak, who plays Hansa in the show, also added that the legendary actress used to love their show. Supriya even recalled the time when she ran into Sridevi on a flight and the late actress made her talk like Hansa.
