Sony TV's kids singing reality show Superstar Singer has found its first winner in 9-year-old Prity Bhattacharjee, who hails from Bardhaman, Kolkata. The audience favourite was announced as the winner with a deafening applause as the Grand Finale culminated amidst much fanfare. Superstar Singer, which has become synonymous with exceptional singing talent among youngsters, didn’t disappoint in the finale as the top 6 finalists – Prity Bhattacharjee, Chaitanya Devadha, Harshit Nath, Sneha Shankar, Ankona Mukherjee and Nishtha Sharma – battled it out in a musical extravaganza, ensuring the audience had a tough time choosing a winner amongst them. The finale was nothing short of a visual spectacle with judges Alka Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali setting the stage on fire with performances on Bollywood chartbusters. And the top 6 were also not far behind. Darshan Raval and Mahhi Vij added some fun and entertainment to the celebration, while The Kapil Sharma Show's Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek got the contestants in high spirits. Legendary musician Pyarelal and his wife too were present on the sets to shower their blessings on the little ones.

The show that started with rigorous auditions across the country, saw participation in overwhelming numbers and went ahead to set a new benchmark for talent in the industry in its very first season. With the first season being a big hit and receiving a lot of love from the audience, people have already started asking for the next season and when is it going to be aired.

Ecstatic and overwhelmed with her win after a neck-to-neck competition, a visibly overwhelmed Prity said, “I am too overwhelmed to say anything right now. This is a huge thing for me. I never thought I would get the opportunity to showcase my talent on such a big platform, leave alone winning the first edition of Superstar Singer. It is like a dream come true for me and this feeling will take time to sink in.
