The makers have hit the jackpot by casting Nia Sharma. The actress has got a role that has enough scope for histrionics. The actress went on an extreme diet and fitness regime to look like a million dollars on screen. She looked great in Naagin 4 but the role was a poorly written one.

Makers have a huge scope to make it something different from what we are being fed by other soaps. They can keep Nishigandha's (Nia Sharma) character as purely evil and let the leads battle her extraordinary powers. The story has reportedly been taken from the writing platform Pratilipi. It has that vibe of Wattpad with the campy horror quotient needed for young viewers. The presentation too appeals to young adults. Indian TV has been missing this kind of show for a while now. The show also stars Zayn Ibad Khan and Debchandrima Singha Roy. Both are fresh faces needed for a show like this. Moreover, this is their foray into this genre. There are few actors who only work in the horror/mythos genre and it becomes boring to see them time and again. Suhagan Chudail has its basis in folklore, which every desi will relate to. The theme of revenge, power, evil and redemption is also a good one. So far, the show has got an amazing response mainly due to Nia Sharma. Let us see how it progresses from now on!
