Storyteller, writer, director and producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary is a happy man, for his hard work has paid off. The owner of Swastik Productions, which has over 26 visually high shows to their credits, has brought home the prestigious award as the Best Director for his mega historical series Porus at the 23rd Asian Awards! Catch the big moment below:

The Mahabharata writer and director, created history with his mega-series as he put an Indian show on the world map and walked an untraveled path by being the first solo producer to procure IP rights for his show and also to sell it worldwide with their presence at Cannes.

Siddharth won immense recognition across platforms from the entertainment bigwigs for making a larger than life show for TV audience with High standard VFX techniques to recreate that era.

Porus starred actors Laksh Lalwani (as Sikander) and Rohit Purohit (as Alexander) in pivotal roles and both actors impressed one and all with their portrayals of their respective characters. Also, the show was in the news for its (reportedly) humongous budget of Rs.500 crores. Well, looks like all the efforts did pay off. And while the journey of Porus has come to an end, the show continues as Chandragupta Maurya.
