Comedian Siddharth Sagar recently created a stir in the Television industry by going missing suddenly from his home. After his friends appealed to the fans to search him, the actor himself came out with a video that he is safe and sound and will soon reveal chilling details about his disappearance. In an interview to Indian Express, the Comedy Classes actor revealed how he suffered wrong medication by his mother and his addiction to substance abuse pushed him to a darker side. He also revealed how his parents mixed medicines in his food and how he got bashed in the rehabilitation center.
Talking to the daily, an emotional Siddharth revealed, "I was depressed. My speech slurred and I was in a bad zone. When I told my parents about it, they said that they have put me on medicines for bipolar disease. I was shell-shocked when I heard it. I know about bipolar and I didn’t have any of the symptoms and here my parents were giving me drugs by mixing it in my food."
The Selfie Mausi Act fame actor also revealed that he got involved into substance abuse chain. He revealed, " Somebody suggested me to take some substance to get over my miserable life and I soon got addicted. But I knew it was wrong for me and I told my mother about it. She broke down hearing about the same. I asked her to get me admitted to a rehabilitation centre, so that I could come out clean."
Sagar later added that he was bashed mercilessly by some people at the rehabilitation centre. He then found support in Basheer Qureshi, founder of Asha Ki Kiran, with whom he stays currently. The comedian is now positive resuming his work.
