Siddharth Kumar Tewary Ropes in THIS RadhaKrishn Pair For Another Mythological Show Luv Kush!
It’s a double bonanza for these actors.
Its double dhamaal for actors Shivya Pathania and Himanshu Soni. The actors who play the grown up Radha and Krishna in Star Bharat’s on-going TRP topping drama RadhaKrishn, have landed another plum project in their kitty. Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who is the brains behind RadhaKrishn, has roped them to play the roles of Sita and Ram in his next mythological show Luv Kush, reports Bombay Times. RadhaKrishn: Sumedh Mudgalkar – Mallika Singh’s Show Completes 100 Episodes – Watch Video
Shivya and Himanshu play the grown up versions of Radha and Krishna and the younger versions are being essayed by Mallika Singh and Sumedh Mudgalkar respectively. The latter pair has been receiving an extremely positive response for their portrayal of Radha and Krishna.
Confirming the news to the daily, Shiya was quoted as saying, “I have lost around eight kilos for this role. We have also started attending horse riding and action classes. I did not do any reference work, because I wanted to live and believe in the world that our storytellers have created. The story of Ramayana is well-known, but it could be presented from a different perspective.” Sony TV’s Porus Wins Big At The Prestigious 23rd Asian Awards!
On being paired with Shivya again after RadhaKrishn, Himanshu revealed, “We share great on-screen chemistry, which was appreciated on RadhaKrishn. Another advantage is that we featured in just one episode as Radha and Krishna, so it won’t be a challenge to establish ourselves as Ram and Sita.”
He also continued, “I had said that I would avoid playing mythological characters, and even tried to stick to that decision. I was offered regular shows, but I realised that the canvas of the mythological shows I have been part of, are huge. They offer a larger-than-life experience. Once you shoot in that setup, you find other genres restricting. As an artiste, you always aspire to do something bigger and better than your last project, and Luv Aur Kush seemed perfect at this point.”
And as the title suggests, Luv Kush will be the narration of the Ramayana, from the perspective of Sita and Ram’s twin sons Luv and Kush.
