Producer Rajan Shahi shot with his show’s leads in Bhuj and Kutch!
Star Plus is all set to offer to the audience yet another family entertainer in the form of their hit show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s spin-off titled Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. Starring Shaheer Sheikh, who was last seen in Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali and Rhea Sharma who won hearts in Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piya Ji, the show chronicles the life of Naira’s (Shivangi Joshi) cousin Mishti and her concerns with regards to the arranged marriage system. Both Shaheer and Rhea recently returned to the bay after finishing off a hectic five-day shoot schedule in Bhuj and Kutch, along with producer Rajan Shahi. Despite the given circumstances and the prevailing tense situation between India and Pakistan, the crew could manage an intense shoot schedule, making the most of the mesmerizing locations of Kutch. Recalls producer Rajan Shahi, “We wanted to extend the show beyond Rajasthan and decided to add the vibrance of Gujarat to this one. My entire creative team explored the region, including various markets of Kutch, to capture the region flawlessly in our show. We have included various artworks, handicrafts, handlooms and the aesthetics of Kutch.”
The producer plans to aim higher with this show. “Just like Kartik and Naira, I am looking at creating Abir and Mishti as the next sought after couple on Hindi television,” reveals an ecstatic Shahi.
The producer also revealed a tid-bit about shooting in the region. He told us that the BSF Jawans present there visited the set and appreciated the team’s hard work as well.
Yeh Rishtey… goes on air from March 18 and will take over the slot that will become vacant after Ishqbaaz’ run comes to an end. Are you guys excited to watch the show? What are your expectations from this one?
