Television actress Saumya Tandon, who is known for playing the lead role of Anita Mishra in the comedy series Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, welcomed a baby boy, on January 18. For the uninitiated, the actress got married to a banker Saurabh Devendra Singh in December 2016 after dating him for almost 10 years and this is their first baby. Talking about what motherhood meant to her, Saumya, in a statement to Bollywood Life, said, "I am a new mom and I'm still figuring it out. It is something that cannot be put into words. People say a lot of things but you have to experience it yourself. It is the experience of a lifetime and one that changes your life," further adding, "It is a very special feeling. It is overwhelming to have a little life totally dependent on you and knowing that you have to shape it in a way that it can face the world."

The actress also "It was not planned. It just happened and I am very glad it did. I don't think I could plan it ever," she says. Her husband who is a banker has very hectic schedules. She says, "Unfortunately, he has very hectic schedules. He is a very doting dad. When he is home he does speak and play with the baby a lot. However, he gets less time as his office is far from our home. The actress also revealed that it was an unplanned pregnancy. Talking to the portal, she said, "It was not planned. It just happened and I am very glad it did. I don't think I could plan it ever," she says. Her husband who is a banker has very hectic schedules. She says, "Unfortunately, he has very hectic schedules. He is a very doting dad. When he is home he does speak and play with the baby a lot. However, he gets less time as his office is far from our home. I am sure that he will be a doting hands-on dad who will learn on the job."

Saumya feels that if a woman can continue working post motherhood, family and husband too can chip in too. Speaking further, the actress added, "His work will increase then. He will have to figure out his life and be more hands-on. Now, I am with the baby throughout so there is no need to worry. I feel that if any woman can continue working post motherhood, then her family and husband too can chip in for sure. If she does not get adequate support, she feels very torn. I am sure parenthood will be a huge learning experience for my husband and me."

The actress Saumya Tandon became a household name with her stint as Anita Vibhuti Narayan in &TV’s Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai. Saumya has previously been a part if shows like Aisa Des Hai Mera, Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni and done a special appearance in Comedy Nights With Kapil. She has also hosted shows like Mallika-E-Kitchen, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen, Entertainment Ki Raat and Dance India Dance.
