The reboot version of the hit 2002 show Sanjivani 2, premiered on August 12, has been winning hearts of the audiences since day one; Fans are in awe of Dr Siddhant Mathur (Namit Khanna) and Dr Ishani (Surbhi Chandna). While the show is only getting started, Sanjivani 2 has a lot of drama already right from Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna's cute fights, their romantic moments to the emotional graph all the characters have. To make the show even more interesting, makers are now getting a new addition to the cast. Aarti, who is a renowned name in Bollywood and has also appeared in TV shows such as Saahil and Junoon, is now making a come back to TV after 12 long years. Mohnish and Aarti had acted together many years ago in Dil Mill Gayye, a spin-off to the original Sanjivani, and it will now be interesting to see their reunion pan out. Confirming the reports, Aarti, during a conversation with Bombay Times, revealed, "Producer Siddharth Malhotra is a good friend and I worked with him earlier too. Both Siddharth and his wife Sapna had been wanting to work with me, but I did not know it would happen so soon. Since my husband was also a part of the show, I thought it would be great." Looks like, the makers have left us no choice but get glued to our television screens again.

Expressing her excitement on working with Mohnish again, she said, "He is a great actor and he has played his roles so well that you can't imagine anyone else playing that role whether it is a doctor, elder brother or a villain. For both of us, the script and the director has always been the most important and in Sanjeevani too, I felt that playing Dr Sid's (Namit Khanna) mother would be an interesting role. My daughter Pranutan has debuted this year in films, my husband is already doing a TV show and now with me joining him, we will again be and all- working family."

Bankrolled by Siddharth Malhotra’s banner Alchemy Films, Sanjivani remake is the remake of Sanjivani: A Medical Boon, which aired on Star Plus in the year 2002. Later, Dill Mill Gayye, a sequel to the show aired from 2007 to 2010. Sanjivani: A Medical Boon featured stellar cast like Gurdeep Kohli, Mihir Mishra, Rupali Ganguly, and Mohnish Behl, while its sequel Dill Mill Gayye saw actors like Karan Singh Grover, Sukriti Kandpal, Shilpa Anand, Karan Wahi and Jennifer Winget in the lead roles.
